Eagle Beach – For a Relaxed Beach Day
Approximately 6 km (3.7 miles) from Villa Nirvana, Eagle Beach is our favourite place for a peaceful day by the sea. The beach is known for its wide stretch of soft white sand, clear turquoise water and iconic Divi Divi trees. Compared with Palm Beach, the atmosphere is generally quieter and more spacious.
Bring a towel, plenty of water and some shade, and stay until the end of the afternoon—the sunsets here are often spectacular.
Boca Catalina – For Snorkelling
Boca Catalina is approximately 7.5 km (4.7 miles) from the villa and one of our favourite places for snorkelling. This small, sheltered bay has clear water and is home to colourful fish and other marine life. The calmest conditions are usually found earlier in the morning, before the wind becomes stronger and tour boats arrive.
There are limited facilities, so bring drinking water, snorkelling equipment and reef-friendly sunscreen.
California Lighthouse – For Sunset Views
Located approximately 9 km (5.6 miles) from Villa Nirvana, the California Lighthouse offers panoramic views across Aruba’s coastline and rugged northern landscape. The surrounding area is especially beautiful in the late afternoon, when the setting sun colours the sea and desert scenery.
Combine your visit with a drive along Malmok, Boca Catalina and Arashi Beach. It makes an excellent short itinerary and shows a completely different side of Aruba—all within easy reach of the villa.
